Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is hiring an Registered Behavior Technician for the STAIRS Program in Homestead, PA. This role delivers individualized behavioral support to youth 6–21 with autism and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

The RBT must be certified and bring strong communication, data collection, and office skills (Excel/MS Office). Flexible schedules include some weekends to meet team needs.

Qualifications

• Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with autism or behavior challenges preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and technology skills.
• Proficient with data collection; valid driver’s license.
• Flexible work schedule with some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical programming and behavioral support: implement individualized positive behavior support plans and collect data.
• Aid residents with communication, social, and daily living skills development.
• Implement behavior reduction strategies and crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and ensure fidelity.
• Maintain a structured, goal-oriented therapeutic environment.
• Ensure compliance with BACB, CARF, and state licensing requirements.
