Job summary

DSST Public Schools in Denver is hiring a MI-A Center Program Special Education Teacher for high school students. This in-person, full-time role starts immediately, with staff training at the end of July.

You will lead instruction and case management within one center program, collaborate with general education staff and families, supervise paraprofessionals, and deliver targeted academic, behavioral, and life-skills instruction.

Qualifications

• Minimum: has teaching license and Colorado Special Education Endorsement.
• Ideal: commitment to students of color, multilingual learners, and positive behavior supports.

Responsibilities

• Be an IEP Case Manager, writing data-driven IEPs and developing goals.
• Provide accommodations/modifications with formal MTSS support.
• Supervise and develop a team of Paraprofessionals.
• Deliver rigorous, culturally responsive instruction across 3–5 classes daily.
• Monitor student growth with assessments to guide instruction.
