Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health seeks a Certified Special Education Teacher (STAIRS) in the Homestead area to deliver instruction to 1st–12th grade students with autism and high support needs. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $63,000 annually, with scheduling based on a 10-month school calendar.

The role involves planning lessons, monitoring progress, and collaborating with Day Academy and STAIRS residential program staff to ensure student success in a multidisciplinary setting at the Devereux

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PA Special Education Instructional I or II certification required.
• 5-7 years of special education experience; 3+ years with children with autism REQUIRED.
• Experience developing and monitoring IEPs with measurable goals across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement effective instruction for students with autism.
• Establish a supportive learning environment and deliver instruction.
• Assess student progress and provide guides for support staff.
• Collaborate with Day Academy and STAIRS program staff to meet student goals.
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and required documentation.
