Job summary

QSAC in the Bronx is seeking a NYS certified Speech-Language Pathologist (TSHH/TSSLD) or CCC to provide speech and language therapy to children and young adults with autism. The role requires NYS CCC certification, SLP licensure, and ABA knowledge, offering extensive training and growth opportunities within QSAC’s autism services.

This position serves ages 3–22, with comprehensive support and a focus on assessment, IEP goals, and collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification of Clinical Competency required.
• NYS Certification as a TSHH or TSSLD required.
• MA Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• 3 letters of recommendation required upon hire.
• At least 6 months experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD.
• Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including PECS.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement speech and language programs aligned with student IEPs.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments of speech, language, and communication skills.
• Write IEP goals, objectives and updates.
• Implement data collection, behavior management interventions and ABA principles during therapy sessions.
• Maintain daily attendance and session notes.
