GERENA COMMUNITY SCHOOL in Springfield, MA is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher/Autism to join a dedicated team. The role starts immediately and supports students with severe to moderate disabilities within the district’s framework and year-long schedule.

The ideal candidate holds MA DESE licensure for Special Education (Severe/Moderate Disabilities) and PreK-8, with a Bachelor's degree and licensure.

Formación

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Teacher of Students with Severe/Moderate Disabilities and PreK-8 licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree with appropriate license.
• Master’s degree with appropriate content area license preferred and/or expected within 5 years.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual student needs and abilities.
• Creates a conducive learning environment.
• Communicates clear objectives to students for all lessons and projects.
• Keeps accurate records and communicates with parents as needed.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district specialist assistance when required.
