Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an Autism Evaluator to join a contract/1099 role across Frederick and Gaithersburg, MD. The position blends autism evaluations with ongoing psychotherapy, in a hybrid work model with some remote duties.

Onsite presence is required two days per week, with after-school or weekend slots preferred where possible. Ideal candidates hold an MD Maryland LCSW-C license, 2+ years of pediatric clinical care, and strong writing skills.

Qualifications

• LCSW-C license in Maryland and independent practice.
• 2+ years delivering clinical care to children and families.
• Strong diagnostic writing and documentation skills.
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct autism-focused neurodevelopmental evaluations including ADOS-2, ASRS, and CARS-2.
• Synthesize data into clear diagnostic formulations.
• Provide family feedback with clear care pathways.
• Manage evaluation timelines and reporting within required deadlines.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care team and weekly clinical consultations.
