Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role includes training, opportunities for advancement, and a pay range of $18–$24 per hour based on experience, certification, and education.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sit and stand up from the floor or chair many times throughout the work day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
• Running or moving quickly as needed to interact with, and for the safety and protection of your client(s).
