Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Technicians to support children with autism in a one-on-one setting under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans and use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

No prior experience required; we provide comprehensive training. You should be patient, compassionate, and a strong team player, able to move and assist children safely, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test within the last year
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds)
• Registered Behaviour Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behaviour intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and team to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Create a safe, supportive environment and encourage positive behaviours.
