Job summary

Centria Autism in Portland, OR is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through one-on-one sessions. You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Training is provided; candidates must be 18+, pass background checks, and obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Contribute to a supportive, team-based environment and ensure the safety and well-being of children during sessions.
