Job summary

Centria Autism seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children, implementing personalized intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. Training is provided to support those new to the field, with focus on communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Applicants should be patient and compassionate, able to work well in a team, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay range is $19–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with BCBA, staff, and families to support each child’s progress.
• Maintain safety and comfort of children during activities and transitions.
