Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Training is provided; reasonable physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting children as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB test within a year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Support children in a safe, patient, and nurturing environment while promoting independence.
