Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under the guidance of a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Strong empathy, patience, and teamwork are essential. Training is provided; lifting up to 50 pounds may be required as part of working with clients and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, kneel, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Follow safety protocols and document progress as part of the treatment plan.
