Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children, following individualized intervention plans under a BCBA. You will learn evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. You should be patient, compassionate, and able to lift up to 50 pounds when assisting children. Pay ranges from $17 to $23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support each child’s progress.
