Job summary

Centria Autism in the United States is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, following individualized intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviours.

No prior experience required — comprehensive training is provided. Applicants should be patient, motivated, and able to work in a team, with the physical ability to assist

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain an RBT Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviours.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safety and progress during sessions.
