Job summary

Centria Autism is looking for enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through personalized intervention plans. You will work one-on-one with children, applying evidence-based strategies under the supervision of a BCBA to develop communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Training is provided and you will join a dedicated team that values compassion, patience, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors while supporting skill acquisition.
• Ensure safety and caregiving tasks during daily activities.
