Edgewood is seeking an Exceptional Children Program Support Specialist in Elizabeth City, NC, to support students with disabilities under the supervision of the Director of Exceptional Children. The role focuses on creating positive learning environments and implementing behavior support strategies across schools.

The position involves collaborating with school staff, attending IEP meetings when appropriate, and developing progress monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied behavioral sciences, psychology, special education, or related field is required.
• BCBA certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience with students with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavior disorders.

Responsabilités

• Monitor compliance with PRC 29 Grant and submit records.
• Visit schools to coach and model behavior intervention strategies.
• Conduct classroom observations and functional behavior assessments.
• Assist in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
• Lead professional learning for teachers and administrators.
• Attend IEP meetings as determined.
