Qualifications

Minimum of 24 semester hours completed in any discipline with passing Work Keys Assessments.
Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children.
Ability to solve minor problems and follow detailed written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

Assists the teacher with planning, organizing, and evaluating instructional activities; developing classroom procedures; preparing materials; and presenting activities as directed by the teacher.
Participates in activities to improve the total school program.
Assists the teacher in ensuring a safe and healthful environment.
Demonstrates clerical and technical skills necessary to assist the implementation of the program.
Assists students with the understanding of rules and regulations.
Maintains cleanliness and neatness in the classroom.
Models positive behavior and teamwork for colleagues.
Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
