Job summary

Northeast Academy for Aerospace & Advanced Technologies in Elizabeth City, NC, is seeking an Exceptional Children’s Instructional Coach (Teacher) to support students with disabilities under IEPs while collaborating with the EC Director and school team.

The role requires a NC Professional Educator’s License with special education endorsement, a bachelor's degree, and at least 1 year of experience. Salary is commensurate with experience; work week is Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 10-month term.

Qualifications

• Current NC Professional Educator’s License containing one or more areas of special education.
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year experience teaching students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead students to develop soft skills: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration.
• Utilize technology to facilitate instruction and maximize student learning.
• Develop and support the implementation of IEPs for students with disabilities.
