Job summary

MAC Midwest in Mankato, MN is seeking a Behavioral Therapist to provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism in a center-based setting, under supervision by a BCBA. You will implement individualized treatment plans, teach essential communication and self-help skills, and use evidence-based ABA strategies.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team, data collection, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing professional development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification if hired as level 3 BT
• Interest in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to follow clinical direction and implement feedback
• Basic computer and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA treatment plans developed by a BCBA
• Provide direct therapy in a center-based setting
• Teach communication, social, daily living, play, and adaptive skills
• Use ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior reduction
• Collect session data and document using an iPad
• Monitor learner progress and report to BCBA
• Support learner safety and manage challenging behaviors
• Maintain a safe, structured therapy environment
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team
• Participate in staff trainings and supervision meetings
