Job summary

MAC Midwest in Bemidji, MN provides ABA therapy for children with autism, from 18 months to 21 years, in a clinic setting. Behavior Therapists deliver one-on-one and group sessions under supervision to implement treatment plans and promote skill development.

The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), willingness to obtain RBT certification, strong communication and documentation skills, and a 18.00–21.00 USD per hour wage with HIPAA compliance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in psychology, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred
• Previous experience working with children preferred
• Willingness to obtain an RBT certification if hired as Level 3 BT
• Interest in working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Basic computer and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans developed by a BCBA
• Provide direct therapy services to learners in a center-based setting
• Teach communication, social, daily living, play, and adaptive skills
• Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior reduction
• Collect accurate session data and complete required documentation using an iPad
• Monitor learner progress and report observations to supervising BCBA
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team to support learner goals
• Follow HIPAA requirements and safety protocols
• Maintain a safe, structured therapeutic environment
• Support learners during transitions and group activities
