Job summary

1Password is looking for an Intermediate Software Developer to help deliver meaningful product improvements and customer‑facing features. You’ll take ownership of small‑to‑medium sized projects, contribute to high‑quality code, and work closely with teammates and partners to take work from planning through release and support.

The Authorization team builds the foundation that determines which people and systems can take which actions across 1Password.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Go and solid working knowledge of the tools to complete tasks independently.
• Experience building or working with authorization or identity systems with strong access control understanding.
• Comfort navigating an existing codebase and proposing improvements when needed.
• Quality mindset focused on testing, maintainability, and clear documentation.
• Strong communication and ability to share progress and blockers clearly.
• Collaborative approach and constructive participation in team discussions.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features within the team’s codebase.
• Own small‑ to medium‑sized projects from planning through delivery.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, release, and post‑launch support.
• Write maintainable, well‑tested code and contribute to testing strategies.
• Document work clearly and share context for review and support.
• Provide thoughtful code reviews to improve quality and team delivery.
