Job summary

SafeRide Health is seeking an Authorization Coordinator for Travel Operations to manage end-to-end travel logistics for members needing medical care. You will serve as the primary contact for members, health plans, and vendors, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and empathetic service.

Responsibilities include verifying authorizations, communicating clearly about approvals and denials, and delivering documentation to members and plans, while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in Authorization coordination or similar logistics-based role.
• 1+ year experience in a high-volume inbound call center or customer service environment.
• Strong data entry skills; ability to manage high call volume and multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Authorization Management: Verify and document health plan travel authorizations, request and secure pre-approvals, and confirm details with medical facilities.
• Member Support: Provide clear, compassionate communications about authorizations, approved providers, and denials.
• Deliver timely documentation to both members and health plans.
• Health Plan Relations: Build and maintain positive partnerships with approval teams at each Health Plan.
• Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate, detailed records in alignment with compliance requirements.
• Productivity & Quality: Meet departmental performance standards while maintaining exceptional service quality and member satisfaction.
• Flexibility: Adapt to changes in travel schedules and unforeseen circumstances while ensuring members’ needs remain the priority.
