Job summary

Salesforce is hiring for an Authentication Platform software engineer to own tier‑0 identity services. You will implement features across Kerberos, TOTP, and WebAuthn using Java, Go, or C#, while collaborating with senior engineers on design and security requirements.

You’ll contribute to CI/CD pipelines, leverage Kubernetes in hybrid/cloud deployments, and participate in on‑call rotations, incident analysis, and live debugging in a high‑throughput production environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Production experience building backend services in Java, Go, or C#.
• Knowledge of at least one identity or federation protocol (Kerberos, LDAP, WebAuthn, TOTP, SAML, OIDC).
• Experience with distributed services in Public Cloud or hybrid deployments using Kubernetes and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver features across the Authentication Platform’s service portfolio (Kerberos, TOTP, WebAuthn) with backend code in Java, Go, or C#.
• Contribute to design specs and research spikes with senior engineers.
• Debug production issues and participate in on‑call rotations for tier‑0 services.
• Author and maintain technical docs and runbooks; ensure security-first development and testing.
