Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager, Australia, to lead the Australian regulatory program. You will translate global strategy to local execution, ensure licensing obligations are met, and support responsible growth and strong consumer outcomes.

You will collaborate with Product, Legal, Credit, Marketing and Engineering while overseeing governance, reporting and risk management in a remote-first environment across Australia.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of regulatory compliance experience in Australian regulated financial services, credit or fintech environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian consumer credit, conduct regulation, ASIC expectations and licensing.
• Ability to translate regulatory interpretation into practical business decisions.
• Experience leading regulatory change, obligations management and breach reporting.
• Proven track record managing teams and driving program execution.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee the Australian regulatory compliance framework for consumer credit and related services.
• Maintain documented compliance arrangements for credit licence obligations and regulatory change.
• Lead ASIC examinations, inquiries, information requests and licence interactions.
• Oversee regulatory notifications, reporting and licence updates.
• Manage compliance risk assessment, remediation priorities and governance reporting.
• Monitor metrics across lending, product governance, complaints, disclosures and consumer outcomes.
• Assess incidents and breaches and escalate material regulatory risks.
