Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Austin, TX is seeking an entry-level ITS/Traffic Engineer to join our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Team. This is an entry-level position based out of Austin, TX, with mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to cutting-edge transport technologies.

You will perform ITS/Traffic engineering and design tasks, support TSM&O initiatives, prepare technical reports, and assist with project submittals and site observations, gaining hands-on experience on connected vehicle

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
• F.E. or E.I.T preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ITS/Traffic Engineering and design assignments for projects including Connected Vehicles, Autonomous/EVs, IP Cameras, Dynamic Message Signs, sensors, signals, and edge-computing technology.
• Support Transportation System Management & Operations initiatives and evaluate infrastructure solutions for safety and mobility.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to sections of complex reports under mentorship.
