Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Austin, TX seeks an entry-level Roadway Engineer to join the Roads & Highways Central Team. The role involves developing plans, investigations, surveys, and project phases with guidance from senior staff to apply sound professional judgment.

You will coordinate with junior professionals and technicians, perform data entry, and support engineers on varied projects while pursuing professional licensure (EIT, PE).

Qualifications

• Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• Basic computer skills to enter data into spreadsheets/databases; technical writing, CAD and MicroStation skills preferred.
• EIT required and working toward PE license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment for diversified engineering projects.
• Exercise independent judgement on regular assignments with guidance from senior staff.
• Coordinate with and/or guide junior professionals, technicians and others.
• Interface with senior technical professionals and managers.
