Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced leader to drive ITS and Traffic Engineering projects for CTRMA in the Austin area. The role is hybrid and based out of the CTRMA office, engaging a multidisciplinary team on cutting‑edge design and implementation of traffic systems.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, provide technical guidance, and oversee PS&E packages while contributing to the growth of a national ITS practice.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience since B.S. (or 9+ since M.S.).
• P.E. license is required.
• Strong technical writing and communications skills.
• Experience with traffic engineering software such as HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, and Vissim.
• OpenRoads experience required; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ITS and Traffic Engineering design tasks or projects for CTRMA.
• Independently develop and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Take corrective actions as necessary.
• Actively manage project budgets and profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and ensure timely billing and collections.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on assigned projects.
• Draft routine contract addenda and change orders for review by senior management.
• Directs and coordinates the work of the project team.
• Provide informal guidance to Associate PMs and technical staff.
• Serve as technical lead on ITS and Traffic Engineering assignments, including ITS and connected vehicle system design, Dynamic Message Signs, CCTV.
• Preparation and technical oversight of PS&E packages.
