Job summary

Amazon in Mountain View is seeking a Sr. MySQL Specialist Solutions Architect focused on Amazon Aurora.

You will help customers architect, migrate, optimize, and operate MySQL workloads in Aurora and RDS, collaborating with customer engineers and the Aurora service team to influence roadmap and share best practices through various channels. You will design well-architected production systems for demanding workloads, represent the voice of the customer, and contribute to AWS community knowledge

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT development or implementation/consulting experience.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C++.
• 5+ years in a technology domain such as software development, cloud, systems engineering, infrastructure, or data and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Aurora MySQL or RDS for MySQL.
• Experience leading migrations to Aurora as the technical owner.
• Experience with Aurora features (distributed storage, cloning, Global Database, etc.).
• Experience architecting or operating MySQL at scale (multi-terabyte databases, high connections, cross-Region replication).
