Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect for Aurora PostgreSQL to guide customers in designing, migrating, and operating PostgreSQL workloads on Amazon Aurora and RDS for PostgreSQL. You will work with enterprise customers and CTOs, focusing deeply on Aurora-specific capabilities and scale.

You will collaborate with the Aurora service team, surface pain points, and drive feature enhancements while mentoring others and presenting at AWS events.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS for PostgreSQL.
• Experience leading migrations from Oracle/SQL Server/on-prem Postgres to Aurora.
• Strong design and operation experience with PostgreSQL at scale (multi‑TB databases, many connections).
• Software development experience (Python, Java) and familiarity with AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical advisor for key AWS customers running or migrating to Aurora PostgreSQL and RDS for PostgreSQL.
• Guide customers on performance tuning, HA, durability, monitoring, and patching for Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Architect and validate Aurora PostgreSQL designs leveraging storage auto-scaling, read replicas, and Global Database.
• Collaborate with the Aurora service team to surface customer patterns and contribute to roadmap.
• Publish technical content and mentor teammates across the Specialist SA organization.
