Job summary

Withum's Audit and Attest Engagement services anchor our firm. As an Audit Supervisor based in Houston, TX, you will lead engagements from planning through completion, mentoring staff and building strong client relationships.

You will oversee staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork and financial reporting, while collaborating with partners to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with US GAAP. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license, or working towards CPA certification with parts passed.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement including staffing and fieldwork.
• Provide supervision and support to staff and promote open communication with the engagement partner.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and regulatory considerations.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss performance with team members.
• Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
