Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related major.
• Prior experience in a business setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to analyze and organize data logically.
• Demonstrated problem solving and initiative.
• Ability to work independently and communicate results of data analytics and modeling.
• Available for hybrid schedule 10–20 hours/week; in-office days Tue–Thu.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial, operational, and compliance audit work to help Leadership manage risk and identify issues.
• Prepare summaries of identified audit findings.
• Provide assistance to external auditors during interim and year-end financial audits.
• Test controls for Wellmark's Model Audit Rule program and evaluate effectiveness.
• Review data populations for accuracy and completeness; assess operational efficiency, controls, and performance.
• Perform entry to intermediate level audits and analysis of transactions within processes such as claims and enrollment.
