Job summary

Highmark Health offers a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to gain practical, hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance. Interns work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to evaluate controls protecting assets and sensitive data.

The program includes training, exposure to system implementations, and audit methodologies while contributing to risk management objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day audit activities.
• Participate in IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Assess technology and security risks.
• Perform research and analysis and document audit results.
• Develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Gain exposure to HIPAA, data privacy, and governance requirements.
