Job summary

Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to provide hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance within Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to assess control effectiveness, support audit execution, and gain exposure to enterprise IT risk assessment and system implementations.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day audit activities and IT assurance engagements.
• Participate in IT assurance, advisory, risk management and governance activities.
• Assist with evaluating technology and security risks and documenting audit results.
• Develop recommendations for process improvements and assist stakeholders across the organization.
• Gain experience in HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and information security controls.
