Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Manager or Director to join our Central Wisconsin team with locations including Eau Claire, La Crosse, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Wausau and Tomah. The role emphasizes planning, supervising, and delivering high‑quality assurance services to clients.

Qualified candidates have a CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and 6+ years of public accounting experience with strong leadership and client relationship skills. Willingness to travel to client sites is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Current CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control all phases of the Firm’s regular services for clients.
• Lead the engagement planning, staffing, and execution to deliver value to clients.
• Navigate engagement decisions and keep the Engagement Principal informed.
• Develop and mentor staff through coaching and training.
• Oversee engagement letters, scope, fees, and client sign-off prior to start.
• Evaluate internal controls and audit programs and present to the Engagement Principal.
• Monitor progress, budgets, deadlines, and communicate developments to the Engagement Principal.
