Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead all aspects of audit engagements from planning to completion, based in Houston, TX. You will supervise staff, mentor team members, and build strong client relationships while ensuring quality and compliance with US GAAP standards.

You'll oversee day-to-day engagement operations, manage budgets, collaborate with partners on issues, and coordinate multiple engagements with diverse teams to meet tight deadlines. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required or equivalent.
• CPA license or active CPA track preferred.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience leading engagements.
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills with US GAAP familiarity.
• Excellent client service, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and teams simultaneously.
• Travel willingness as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team from planning to completion for audits, reviews or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing and risk assessment.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to staff, seniors and supervisors; communicate with engagement partners.
• Collaborate with seniors and partners on issues and regulatory/auditing guidance.
• Manage multiple engagements with different teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and monitor engagement budgets and advise on efficiencies.
• Engage in professional development programs as a trainer or discussion leader.
