Acloché LLC is seeking an Audit Director with State and Local Government specialization to lead audits, manage client engagements, and mentor staff. The role offers a hybrid work environment and a fast track to partnership, with relocation assistance available.

The Director coordinates engagement workflow, maintains client relationships, and develops new business opportunities for the firm. Strong leadership and GAAS/GAGAS expertise are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license required.
• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with 2+ years in a senior manager role.
• Extensive experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools).
• Travel to client and firm locations required.
• Experience bringing in new business to a CPA firm.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.
• Experience in audits of not-for-profits preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain ongoing contact with clients and understand client operations and control systems.
• Serve as engagement partner or report to engagement partner as per policy.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner.
• Oversee engagement phases to ensure compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Inform engagement Partner of material developments and resolve issues with partner input.
• Ensure engagements are properly scheduled and staffed.
• Act as SME for government sector and lead staff development.
• Oversee billing and collections by engagement teams.
• Supervise and train staff; review work papers and reports.
• Contribute to staff performance evaluations and hiring decisions.
• Lead business development and initial client communications, including fee estimates.
