Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization in the US. This leadership role involves coordinating multiple audits, managing client engagements, and guiding staff.

Hybrid work and relocation support are available to enable a successful track to partnership. The Director will mentor staff, develop new business, supervise engagement teams, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with GAAS, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of public accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior manager role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with clients throughout the year and understands client operations and controls.
• Serves as engagement partner or reports to the engagement partner on engagements.
• Signs attest opinions when assigned as engagement partner.
• Oversees all phases of engagement reporting to ensure compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Identifies issues and communicates with the partner; develops solutions.
• Ensures engagements are scheduled properly and staffed.
• Acts as a SME for government sector engagements.
• Oversees billing and collections by engagement teams.
• Supervises and trains staff; reviews work papers and reports.
• Participates in staff performance evaluations and coaching.
• Involved in recruiting and interviewing Assurance and Advisory staff.
• Develops new business through client leads and meetings; prepares fee estimates.
• Ensures compliance with Firm-wide policies and procedures.
