Progressive regonal CPA firm is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization. Hybrid work with relocation assistance available, fast track to partnership, and strong client leadership responsibilities.

The Director will lead engagements, supervise staff, and act as a liaison among partners, clients, and teams. Travel to client sites is required; a CPA and government-audit expertise are essential for growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting with 2+ years in a senior manager role.
• Holds a CPA license and operates in government sector audits.
• Experience with GAAS, Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Proven ability to bring in new business and lead staff development.

Responsabilités

• Maintains contact with clients and builds strong relationships throughout the year.
• Sign attest opinions as engagement partner when assigned.
• Oversees all phases of engagements and ensures compliance with accounting framework and firm policy.
• Identifies issues and communicates solutions with partner input.
• Schedules engagements and manages staffing and workflow.
• Acts as SME for government sector and guides staff.
• Ensures billing and collections follow firm policy.
• Supervises staff, reviews work papers, and conducts training.
• Participates in staff performance reviews and recruitment.
• Leads business development and initial client communications, including fee estimates.
