Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting and a minimum of 2 years in a senior manager position, with significant experience in the public sector.
• Holds a current and valid CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm office locations.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (GASB/GAGAS).
• Maintains compliance with firm-wide policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with clients throughout the year and builds relationships.
• Acts as engagement partner or reports to engagement partner on engagements.
• Signs attest opinions as engagement partner when assigned.
• Oversees all phases of engagement reporting and ensures compliance with GAAP and policies.
• Identifies issues and implements solutions after partner consultation.
• Ensures engagements are properly scheduled.
• Serves as subject matter expert for governmental sector.
• Oversees billing and collection practices.
• Supervises staff and reviews work papers and reports.
• Participates in staff performance evaluations and counseling.
• Involved in recruitment and candidate interviews for Assurance and Advisory roles.
• Leads business development efforts and generates client meetings and fee estimates.
• Maintains compliance with Firm-wide policies.
