Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years in public accounting with 2+ years in a senior manager role, with significant public sector experience.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools, etc.).
• CPA license current and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships year-round and gain a deep understanding of client operations and control systems.
• Lead engagements as engagement partner or report directly to the engagement partner on engagements.
• Sign attest opinions as a representative of the firm when assigned the role of engagement partner.
• Oversee all phases of engagements and ensure deliverables comply with applicable frameworks and firm policies.
• Inform the engagement Partner of important developments, identify issues, and implement solutions with partner input.
• Schedule engagements effectively and ensure proper staffing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in governmental sector engagements.
• Ensure billing and collections align with firm policy.
• Supervise staff, provide on-the-job training, and review work papers and reports.
