Jobot is seeking an Audit Director for Government & Nonprofits in the Los Angeles area. The role blends leadership of engagement teams with client relationship management, ensuring compliance with GAGAS, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.

Hybrid work arrangements are available to support work-life balance. The ideal candidate brings about 10 years of public accounting experience, 2+ years in a senior manager role, and a CPA license, with demonstrated ability to win new business and manage complex

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of experience in public accounting and at least 2 years in a senior manager role, with strong public sector auditing background.
• Experience auditing state and local governments (cities, counties, districts, charter schools).
• CPA license required and travel to client/site locations expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and oversee engagements under firm policies.
• Sign attest opinions when acting as engagement partner.
• Supervise engagement teams and train staff.
• Lead business development and prospecting with potential clients.
• Ensure engagements are scheduled and compliant with GAAP/GAAS and Yellow Book.
