Job summary

Assurance Dimensions, a leading accounting and advisory firm with offices nationwide, is seeking an Audit Director for its nonprofit and Single Audit practice. This role leads complex engagements from planning through issuance, providing technical guidance and mentoring to managers, seniors, and staff.

The ideal candidate has recent nonprofit audit experience, strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and a track record of delivering high-quality service with a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including significant audit management and leadership responsibilities.
• Recent hands-on experience with nonprofit financial statement audits and Single Audits.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, Government Auditing Standards, and the Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead nonprofit financial statement audits and Single Audits from planning through completion and issuance.
• Perform director-level review of risk assessments, audit workpapers, compliance testing, financial statements, disclosures, and engagement conclusions.
• Evaluate major-program determinations, direct and material compliance requirements, internal controls over compliance, audit findings, and reporting.
• Research and resolve complex accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and compliance matters.
• Serve as a technical resource to partners, managers, seniors, staff, and clients.
• Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, budgets, and engagement profitability.
