Progressive regional CPA firm is seeking an Audit Director with a State and Local Government specialization. The role leads multiple engagements, mentors staff, and expands client relationships while guiding engagement teams through GAAS, GAGAS/Yellow Book, and Uniform Guidance compliance.

Hybrid work environment with relocation assistance available, and a fast track toward partnership. Strong leadership and business development skills are essential.

Competenze

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting and at least 2 years in a senior manager role in the public sector (state/local governments).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Holds a current CPA license.
• Ability to travel to client and firm locations.
• Proven ability to win new business for the CPA Firm.
• Experience auditing under GAAS, GAGAS/Yellow Book, and the Uniform Guidance.
• Ability to direct, review, and train staff.
• Exposure to audits of not-for-profit organizations.

Mansioni

• Liaison between Partner, client, and staff; oversee multiple audits and engagements.
• Sign attest opinions as required and supervise engagement partners.
• Ensure timely engagement scheduling and workflow across engagements.
• Lead staff training, performance reviews, and recruitment efforts.
• Represent the firm in business development and client meetings.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and grow a portfolio.
