Job summary

Progressive Regional CPA Firm seeks an Audit Director with State and Local Government specialization. Hybrid work environment with relocation assistance.

You will lead audits, manage staff, develop business, and maintain strong client relationships, while coordinating with partners and ensuring adherence to GAAS, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance. Ideal candidate has 10 years in public accounting, CPA license, and ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years' experience in public accounting with governance/auditing focus.
• Senior manager experience and ability to lead multi-project engagements.
• Strong knowledge of GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and the Uniform Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and oversee multiple audits and staff.
• Report to engagement partner and sign attest opinions when assigned.
• Schedule, staff, and coordinate engagement workflow under firm policy.
• Develop staff, train teams, and assist in business development.
• Lead client meetings, deliverables, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Direct recruitment and interview Assurance/Advisory candidates as needed.
• Travel to client sites as required and manage billing practices.
