Job summary

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of audit experience, a valid US CPA, and strong leadership and communication skills. This position emphasizes business development and mentoring junior staff within a dynamic public accounting firm.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of prior relevant audit experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting.
• Significant supervisory experience.
• Industry expertise in one or more assurance specialties.
• Active US CPA license or international equivalent.
• Familiarity with SEC and PCAOB reporting rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and audit research tools.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Executive presence and ability to lead client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates and Senior Associates on all projects and review their work.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS consistently; document and communicate complex issues.
• Ensure SEC filings and disclosures are accurate and complete; support Audit Committee communications.
• Guide audit teams; use CAATS, sampling, and other efficiency tools as appropriate.
• Manage engagement planning, field work, and wrap-up with quality and timeliness.
• Support client acceptance/retention procedures and business development efforts.
• Mentor staff and provide performance feedback; help with scheduling and budgeting.
