CliftonLarsonAllen Wealth Advisors, LLC is seeking an Audit Associate to join the State and Local Government (SLG) practice in our Brainerd, MN office. You will perform detailed audits, reviews, and related assurance services for local government clients, supporting engagements of varying size and complexity.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1 year of relevant experience in professional services is required.
CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
General knowledge of accounting principles and regulations affecting financial reporting.
Understanding of internal software systems (Pfx Fixed Assets, Pfx Engagement, CCH Access Tax, XCM) required.
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

Perform the detailed audits, reviews, some compilations, and other assurance services for clients.
Support multiple client engagements of varying size and complexity, on time and within budget.
Complete assigned portions of engagements with accuracy within tight time frames.
Interact with clients to gather information for timely engagement wrap-up.
Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
May direct small audits at the two-year level, with supervision.
Collaborate with managers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
