Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Texas seeks an Audit Associate for the State and Local Government practice. You will perform detailed audits, engage with clients, and support multiple engagements for local and state government entities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 1 year of relevant experience; State and Local Government experience is a plus, CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred, and MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (internships may qualify).
State and Local Government audit experience is a plus.
CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
General knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance services.
Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
Complete assigned portions with accuracy within tight time frames.
Interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.
Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements.
Direct small audits at the two-year level as needed.
Collaborate with managers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
