Job summary

Asheville Ear Nose & Throat is seeking an Audiology Coordinator to manage the administrative, scheduling, and logistical operations of the audiology department. The role balances high-volume medical coordination, hearing aid inventories, and complex insurance workflows to ensure seamless patient care.

You will coordinate referrals, schedule audiology testing, and act as the primary contact for patient inquiries, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and inventory control in a busy ENT

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a medical office.
• Experience in ENT or Audiology settings preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR/PMS systems and audiology software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask.
• Understanding of ENT/audiology CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal referral pipeline from ENT physicians to audiology team.
• Manage ENT appointments with same-day audiology services for efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for audiology inquiries and triage calls.
• Provide empathetic communication for patients with hearing loss or balance disorders.
• Verify insurance and secure prior authorizations for testing and devices.
• Oversee hearing aid orders, earmolds, and repairs with vendors.
• Document thoroughly in EMR and ensure reports reach referring physicians.
