Job summary

Xavier University is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to support classroom, conference, and event AV systems across campus. The role focuses on troubleshooting, equipment delivery and setup, and user training for Crestron and Teams-based solutions.

The successful candidate will manage AV equipment across classrooms and large spaces, supervise student workers, and maintain system software. A vocational AV background and 3–5 years’ enterprise/academic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in AV or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience managing technology support in enterprise/academic environments.
• Experience with Crestron control systems and Teams Rooms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot AV systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Deliver, set up, and retrieve AV equipment.
• Train faculty and staff on classroom AV systems and Zoom kits.
• Monitor AV management apps (Crestron XiO Cloud, Microsoft Teams Admin Center).

This individual will function as the Tier I/Tier II specialist over audio visual technologies in classrooms, conference rooms, and other areas on campus.
