Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Title Specialist to process and re-assign vehicle titles, verify accuracy, and resolve title issues in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliable DMV knowledge.

On-site schedule includes regular weekday hours with potential overtime. Primary duties include interacting with customers, handling title-related tasks, and ensuring front counter coverage while maintaining Cox’s commitment to client

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in the auction industry or DMV.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or alternative combinations.
• OR 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Previous vehicle title experience and title handling are required.
• Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations related to titles is a requirement.
• Bending and light lifting 10 lbs. or less required.

Responsibilities

• Process and re-assign titles for vehicles sold by auction.
• Examine vehicle titles for accuracy and compliance with state requirements.
• Resolve title issues through customer interactions.
• Run 30-day outstanding title reports and contact sellers.
• Process sale day transactions using the AS400 and provide customer service.
• Verify purchases in-lane using the DVR.
• Gain proficiency in DMV processes within 6 months of hire.
• Provide customer support via phone using a headset.
• Maintain full counter coverage and greet clients at the location.
• Access and update client information from Auction Access.
• Assist in sale day settlement balancing.
• Ensure front counter coverage and support Cox culture.
